Local buses
Taxis
For the Kerrera slip, early boats and the last train. Book ahead early in the morning and late at night, when few cars are out.
Parking for the ferry
Leaving the car and going over as a foot passenger. Closest first.
Prices checked August 2026. The sign at each car park has the final say. A council weekly permit (£34.50) covers Albany Street and Tweeddale Street.
Plan a trip
The station, bus stances and ferry terminal are a few minutes' walk apart. Every change here allows at least 10 minutes.
Timetable
Where these times come from. Ferries: CalMac winter 2026–27 timetables (Mull to 12 March 2027, Lismore and Kerrera to 25 March 2027). Trains: ScotRail West Highlands timetable to 12 December 2026. Buses and coaches: timetables published in October 2026. Local buses run Monday to Saturday (403 weekdays only), and some country routes follow the school day.
Ferry arrival times are approximate: about 50 minutes to Craignure, an hour on the Loch Frisa, about 55 minutes to Lismore. The Glasgow coach takes about 3 hours.
